Application of XML in computer supported collaborative design systems

On the basis of analyzing the problem of the data integration in CSCD systems and the features of XML, this paper presents a system framework of XML general application in the data integration of the CSCD systems for mechanical design. It describes the structure of the framework and the function components, and addresses some unsolved problems.
