Investigations on charge-exchange XUV-laser schemes

Experiment with a fs laser-produced ablation plasma interacting with a pulsed gas jet is presented. The purpose was to realize sharp gas and plasma interaction zones at high densities and initiate charge-exchange pumping as near to the target as possible.
