Measurement of excited Xe(1s/sub 4/) atoms versus various Xe contents to Ne gases in AC-PDP by laser absorption spectroscopy

The influence of various Xe contents to Ne gas on the excited Xe (1s4) atoms by laser absorption spectroscopy (LAS), and in turn on the luminous efficiency in AC-PDPs are studied. Also the spatial distribution of excited Xe(1s4) versus various Xe mixtures to Ne has been investigated. A mixture of Xe to Ne gas has been varied to be 4%, 7% and 10% at gas pressure of 300, 400, 500 and 600 Torr in this experiment.
