Radiative properties of the intercalated MoS/sub 2/:Cl/sub 2/ layered crystals

The photoluminescence properties of the 2H-MoS/sub 2/ single crystals, intercalated by Cl/sub 2/ molecules have been investigated. An interpretation of the radiative spectral and temperature characteristics, based on a kinetic model for n-type crystals is proposed. The model involves two radiative channels: the bond excitons recombination and recombination via a deep center (shunt channel).
