A survey of 104 projects in India, Japan, Europe, and the US is yielding quantitative data about these countries' software development practices and performance, adoption of competing development models, and the practices' impact on performance. The findings are particularly relevant to firms that are considering the potential advantages or a greater use of outsourcing.
