Design optimization of switched reluctance motor by electromagnetic and thermal finite element analysis

In this article, we discuss the design optimisation of reluctance motor by using a combination of 2D electromagnetic (EM) and thermal finite analysis (FEA), 3D correction factors, experience from previous designs, and computer search techniques.
