Analysis of no converge networks using the load flow program with complex number state variables

This paper develops a load flow program based on Gauss-Seidel method with complex number state variables and uses the program to analyze no converge networks. The program starts with multiple initial node voltages in the complex plane and investigates convergence characteristics with convergence trajectory. With the program, we can analyze convergence characteristics of no converge networks that can't be analyzed by conventional Newton-type load flow method. Numerical results shown there are chaos phenomena in no converge networks simulation.
