Design of stable all-pass filters

A method for converting the allpass filter design problem to a more tractable spectral factorization problem is presented. Spectral factorization by a new two-dimensional linear prediction technique is discussed, and an efficient lattice structure for implementing the resulting 2-D allpass filter is described.
