An approach to acquisition and handling of serial environmental data

Attention has recently been focused on management programs for coastal waste control. A requirement in developing such programs is a thorough understanding of the environmental parameters operating in the coastal zone. Specification of the parameters of interest is not sufficient. Their spatial and temporal variations and their interrelationships must be measured.
