Behaviour of bipolar transistors in high frequency converters with supply commutation

The behaviour of bipolar transistors when used in supply commutated converters is reported on. The results can be used to give an indication of the charge stored in the collector region of the transistor, as well as the recombination time of this charge. It is shown that this charge is a strong function of base current.<
