Electromagnetic wave scattering by spheroids: A comparison of experimental and theoretical results

Theoretical calculations for backscattering from dielectric spheroids of moderate eccentricity are compared with previous reported experimental measurements. The general measure of agreement gives confidence in both theory and experiment. The theory sheds light on some difficult measurements.
