Analysis of Fiber Interferometer Utilizing 3 x 3 Fiber Coupler

An analysis of the properties of the 3 X 3 fiber coupler is made. The analysis reveals that four parameters are required to characterize the power transfer properties of this type of coupler. The performance of a fiber interferometer is analyzed in terms of these four parameters.
