Bound on Scattering Elements for Irregularly Shaped Waveguides

A lower bound is obtained on the phase shifts that characterize the scattering of electromagnetic waves by obstacles in an irregularly shaped waveguide for which the form function is imprecisely known. A numerical example illustrates the method.
