IEEE Standard for Software User Documentation

The author highlights the provisions of the Standard for Software User Documentation (p.1063), developed by a working committee of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). The standard can be used as a tool to develop a framework for software user documentation. Such a framework can help ensure the quality of the documentation.
