Research on three-phase signal location of circuit breaker based on compact directional antenna array

The breaking performance of the circuit breaker directly affects the operation safety of the power system, and the arc extinguishing performance is the most important performance index, so it is of great significance to effectively detect it. At present, the radiation electromagnetic wave method has achieved remarkable results in the live measurement of the arc extinguishing performance of the circuit breaker, but in the field application, the measured signal is still composed of three-phase signals. The current measurement method can only obtain mixed signals that represent the overall state of the circuit breaker, and it is difficult to detect each phase of the circuit breaker independently. Therefore, this paper proposes a three-phase signal location method of the circuit breaker based on a compact directional antenna array. The experimental results show that the three-phase separation of the electromagnetic wave signal of the circuit breaker can be realized based on the array.
