Unsteady flow in a 3-D collapsible tube with uniform wall thickness

Most fluid carrying vessels (veins, arteries, pulmonary circulation and airways, etc.) in the body are elastic and can collapse when the transmural pressure falls below a critical value. A computational model is presented of a 3-D compliant tube using a fully coupled fluid-structure interaction approach, solving full Navier-Stokes equations for the analysis of fluid flow in a tube. The wall is modeled as solid wall having finite thickness.
