Design cosiderations in a wideband microwave mixer and I.F. preamplifiers

When the task of designing a wideband mixer and IF Preamplifier was undertaken, it was realized that there were a great many problems to solve before a satisfactory head end could be constructed. For this reason a study program was started. This report is intended only to summarize the results of this program and to pave the way for the actual design and construction of the above units.
