Digital switching - The enabler of future services

This paper examines the character of communications and hence of future services, shows why digital switching machines better serve the demands of future networks than analog machines, indicates how we might make the transition from analog switching to digital switching, and finally illustrates how some of these future capabilities will be combined into potent salable features.
