Effect of O2on the CO laser performance

As the O
2
concentration is increased from zero, the CO laser output power rises to a maximum and declines. This variation is correlated to a decrease in gas discharge kinetic temperature to a minimum followed by an increase for the same variation in O
2
concentration.
