The application of expert systems to CAD in electromagnetics

Recent packages capable of sophisticated numerical analysis of electromagnetic devices have provided the designer with considerable design aids. These packages can be integrated into a complete computer aided design system based on expert system techniques. This paper describes the design of one such system.
