An analytical model for the recording of transitions in thin magnetic recording media with linearized hysteresis loops

Analytical expressions are derived for the magnetization distributions recorded in thin-film recording media possessing "linear' hysteresis loops. The results are presented in a form somewhat familiar to workers in this field.
