Wavelength agile photonic integrated circuits using a novel quantum well intermixing process

We report on a novel quantum well intermixing technique, which allows for great deal of flexibility in the design of photonic integrated circuits. Herein, we describe the use of this technique for widely-tunable multisection lasers.
