Extraction of equivalent lumped circuits of discontinuities using the finite-difference time-domain method

A general purpose technique for the extraction of equivalent circuits from FDTD results is presented. The technique is based on the approximation of the scattering parameters of the discontinuity in terms of rational functions, and the subsequent synthesis of high-order equivalent lumped circuits.
