Preliminary exploration of auditory cognitive processes based on EEG

During the treatment of deaf-mums, it has been found that patients with prelinguistic deafness still cannot recognize what they hear after cochlear implants. That’s because the neural circuitry between the auditory cortex and the cognitive cortex is not activated effectively as they develop. The current treatment to improve hearing cognition is to force patients to adapt a large number of different tones of word stimulation and music listening training. However, these methods still have the problem of low efficiency and low activation of neural circuits. To solve this problem, we need to identify the areas of the cortex that are activated effectively in the process of perceiving sound, processing sound. In this study, we analyzed the EEG data collected during hearing test, we calculated the correlation of brain regions and analyzed activation in normal human auditory tests based on ICA after noise removal using time-frequency analysis and pearson correlation. We observed the activation process of brain regions in the process of auditory processing, and found the effective activation region of the brain. In the future, we will further investigate the relationship between the activated regions of the brain.
