A Novel Sensorless Control of a Hybrid Excitation Synchronous Machine used in the Field of Electric Traction

The Dual Excitation Synchronous Machine, or so-called Hybrid Excitation Synchronous Machine (HESM), used to power traction vehicles are described in this work in general terms. The paper's second section compares several position speed observers mentioned in the literature along with a novel sensorless control technique for the HESM. The Matlab tool will be used to develop and analyze models and control techniques for HESM. In the final section of the work, conclusions and future research directions are presented.
