Modeling the Energy Storage System for Different Forms of Discharge Current

Usually, the battery condition estimation is done by having information about its capacity. The discharging profile of the battery is the most common way for collecting reliable information for its capacity. The discharging curve shape can be different for same battery depending on the way it is being discharged. This paper describes a look-up table based simulation tool for modeling and determining the State of Charge of a Lithium Ion battery.
