Ultra high frequency oscillations in the reverse recovery current of fast diodes

This paper shows UHF oscillations that can occur especially in very soft diodes at the end of the reverse recovery current. The oscillation mechanism is related to that of a BARITT diode. It is possible to simulate the oscillations. The simulation results were in very good agreement with the measurements.
