The author briefly compares the drive systems of several commonly used electric vehicles and points out the advantages of permanent magnet synchr-onous motors, combined with the current situation of domestic and foreign research, from the aspects of permanent magnet synchronous motor materials and structural processes, control methods and motor topology, summarizes the technical problems faced by permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles, and looks forward to its application prospects.
