Persevering Through Adversity [Letter From the Editor]

After a long day attending a conference in Maryland, I walked back to my hotel and noticed a vibrant, quaint store selling cheesecake. The store had an intriguing name: The Furlough Cheesecake. I justified to myself that I deserved to indulge in this delectable treat and ventured inside. It was serendipitous that the customer service person assisting me, Jaqi, was one of the owners.
