Rule extraction from artificial neural networks for voltage security analysis

This paper presents a methodology based on production rules extracted from artificial neural networks. The aim is assessing voltage security under a new point of view. This methodology is compared with decision trees, and the results obtained render this technique as a viable alternative. The IEEE-14 bus system is used.
