Shoes surface bonding by cold plasma technology

The conventional chemical bonding of shoes surface before pasting in shoes manufacturing process has been strongly negative affected to human life, not only in manufacturing process but also in wearing shoes. The disadvantages of the currently treatment system are low treatment efficiency, costly and extremely toxic because of using chemical method. In this study, the bonding shoes surface in production line using plasma at atmospheric pressure was designed and developed to solve the above disadvantages. Optimal plasma module and a machinery principle were studied base on analysis and experiment from various design options. The factors which influence to bonding efficiency are treatment speed, the number of treatment times, applied current and shoes type were studied. The results show that applied current is the crucial parameter that decides the bonding efficiency; the higher applied current the higher bonding efficiency. In three months at the industrial testing, the system is considered as a high effective system, 150 percent of capacity increasing, 4 workers decreasing, and especially green technology. At the end of the project, an operating guide, an optimize treatment parameters for various type of shoes were set up for inline production.
