Periodic event-based control with past measurements transmission

In this paper we consider a periodic event-based control scheme with a single source of events given by the sensor. The key point of our technique is that when an event is triggered, the sensor transmits the present value of the controlled variable, plus a convenient number of past ones. We show that the so obtained scheme naturally lends itself to a state feedback interpretation, and under quite mild hypotheses, eases stability analysis. The treatise maintains an application-oriented attitude, i.e., theoretical facts are sketched out, deferring details on them to dedicated works. Simulation examples are reported to illustrate and support the proposal.
