A novel time-of-flight measurement employing ultra-thin chloroboron subphthalocyanine/C60 charge generation layer

In this work, a novel time-of-flight (TOF) measurement was carried out by employing an ultra-thin charge generation layer (CGL) of chloroboron subphthalocyanine and C
₆₀
, which shows a highly absorption coefficient at 532 nm from Nd:YAG laser. This implies that the proposed CGL region can facilitate in generating huge number of charge carriers, i.e. holes or electrons in organic device under the pumping wavelength. Moreover, such CGL-TOF would significantly reduce the sample thickness to ~ 100 nm compared to standard TOF. Therefore, we expect that this novel TOF measurement is a powerful tool to evaluate the real value of carrier mobility in organic layers of the actual devices.
