Performance enhancement of three phase induction motor by using multi level inverter

The polyphase induction motor is the most widely used ac motor because of its numerous advantages like low in cost, simple & rugged construction, absence of commutator and good operation. In the recent past Multilevel inverter technology has emerged as very important alternative in the area of high power, medium voltage control. order harmonics to get the better performance characteristics. In this paper describes the improvent in the performance of induction motor using multi level inverter and also compared the results with PWM inverter. The results are validated by MATLAB /SIMULINK environment.
