An adaptive transmission line protection and modelling of numerical distance relay with analog antialiasing filter

Power system restructuring includes several new aspects in power system, especially in the area of transmission line protection. Therefore, in this paper transmission line protection (TLP) using distance relay and modelling of distance relay with analog antialiasing filter for TLP is presented, on the basis of several points of operational aspects, throughout the last decade. Protection system of transmission line is mainly dealt by the circuit breakers (CB), distance relay (DR) and over current relay (OCR), to proper transmit the electric power from sending end to receiving end, without suffering from any difficulty and dangerous condition to the power system. Various protection schemes and techniques related to TLP improvement, both in AC as well as DC power systems [1]. Distance relay is used for different zone protection according to the medium length (10 Km-200 Km) of transmission line (TL).
