QOS for cognitive radio Ad Hoc Networks

A routing protocol, in Cognitive Radio Network (CRN), is a new concept to improve performance in this network. It is used to establish correct and efficient route between two nodes. OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing) protocol is an optimization of the classical link state protocol in Ad Hoc Networks. We introduce the QoS (Quality of Service) routing mechanism for OLSR protocol, QOLSR (QoS OLSR). We use some metrics measurements to improve quality constrains in routing information. In this work, we present an efficient routing solution, Cognitive routing protocol named CO-QOLSR (Cognitive-QoS Optimized Link State Routing). It is based on the traditional OLSR protocol. The utilization of CO-QOLSR protocol gives an important performance in terms of delay, bandwidth. It is evaluated by OPNET 14.5 Simulator. Simulation results show that our proposal approach represent an important improvement in such mobile wireless networks in terms of QoS performance.
