New VDVTA based electronically tunable floating inductor simulator

This paper proposes a new active floating inductance simulator using two voltage differencing voltage transconductance amplifiers (VDVTAs) and only one grounded capacitor. The presented configuration is electronically controllable, exhibit low non-ideal effects and does not require external passive component matching condition. The validity of proposed circuit is tested by an application example of second order voltage-mode band-pass filter. The performance of proposed floating inductor simulator and band-pass filter is demonstrated by SPICE simulations with TSMC CMOS.18 µm process parameters.
