Model of adaptive RAN formation for heterogeneous mobile network

It is expected that extensive deployment of small cells (SCs) in LTE networks will take place in the near future, especially in dense urban zones. In this paper, we propose a new model of 3-tier heterogeneous radio access network (RAN) based on adaptive structure synthesis method with a combination of deterministic and stochastic geometry. Results show the improvement of peak data rates and energy efficiency depending on load scenarios.
