Face detection through LSE devoid of re-initiation via RD

This paper aims to present an inventive technique to formulate a face detection system using the level set evolution devoid of re-initialization process via reaction diffusion method. Face detection plays an evident role in distinctively identifying the person. The method employed in the paper helps to sketch out the face contour and ultimately allows it to be identified. The reaction-diffusion integrated with the LSM involves setting of the initial parameters for the level set function along with the iterative solving of LSE equation and then applying it to balance the level set function due so that the costly computation and re-initialization process is avoided. The performance measures: Dice Coefficient and Modified Hausdorff Distance are taken to draw out a contrast over the other futuristic methods. The BioID FACE DATABASE is utilized to further authenticate the favourable and comprehensive experimental results of the method for differentiating with other up-to-date approaches.
