IPS test observation with DVAC

The Sun can influence our earth through solar wind, and solar wind is the main source of the interplanetary medium. Therefore, monitoring the Sun and solar wind is of great importance to study the solar-earth phenomenon and to predict the space weather. Ground-based Interplanetary Scintillation (IPS) observation is an efficient and economical way to study the solar wind, and can also exam the shock wave and CME. It has both scientific research and application value. China has begun to observe IPS since 1999 with MSRT, then with some other single dish radio telescopes in China. From 2015, some experimental observations were carried out with the 15m radio telescope DVAC adopting the single station single frequency mode, and some progress has been achieved.
