Multi-site Hakka tangible cultural heritage data collaborative service system

Hakkas tangible culture heritage are distributed in different areas widely. Management and preservation of Hakka cultural digital resources are achieved in different regions that has formed a new “information isolated island”. In order to improve sharing and utilizing of these data in different regions, service aggregation and database middleware technology are brought into data collaborative services. RESTful map service was applied to Hakka culture map service. Map service discovery mechanism based on multi-site registry center was proposed and client-based map service aggregation process with Ajax technology was also established. Multi-database middleware and global virtual database technology was applied to combine attribute data from different sites to provide data services. A multi-site Hakka culture data collaboration services prototype system was implemented.
