Using a traveling wave model for optical circuit simulation of semiconductor optical amplifiers

This paper will present the implementation of traveling wave optical amplifier models for mixed optical-electronic circuit simulation. The model involves a distributed wave equation for both forward and reverse traveling waves and a distributed carrier equation. It provides a multi-mode model of propagation and includes dispersive effects.
