Automatic Hepatic vein segmentation in CTA abdomen images using CORF operator

The segmentation of Hepatic veins are critical for the robust identification of Liver lobes and surgical planning to avoid blood loss during surgery. A novel contour detection method to detect Hepatic vein contour is proposed. The algorithm uses portal venous phase images of 3 phase CT images to find the spatial FCM of hepatic veins. Then on the clustered image CORF operator is applied which detects the contour of the Hepatic veins.
