Thermo-mechanical modelling of spring-based SMA actuators

This paper concerns a thermomechanical model describing the assisted two-way memory effect of a helical spring. This model takes into account the phase transformation kinetics. A particular attention is paid on the effect of R-phase transformation. The proposed model is validated using experimental results.
