Node-potential analysis of complex ultrasonic structures

For the computation of complex ultrasonic devices it can be advantageous to depict the mechanical structure with an electric equivalent circuit. In some cases, the input impedance as well as strain and stress along the structure can be calculated analytically. In some applications, however, the structure is so complex that the computation can only be done numerically. In this case, the calculation is performed preferably with node-potential analysis. Lines are represented as two-ports, comprising the two short-circuit input admittances and two voltage-driven current sources, representing the transadmittance of the line.<
