Metal organic frameworks with exceptional gas storage capacity

The challenges surrounding the realization of viable hydrogen or methane storage by adsorption means are described. We have employed metal-organic frameworks due to their exceptional surface areas. Advancement of gas storage requires the development of metal-organic frameworks based on light metals so that the weight percentage of gas stored may be increased, and the operating temperature must be increased by control of the potential energy for adsorption well depth. We describe possible solutions to each of these challenges.
