Signing Into an Institutional Account

Subscribing institutions can set up IEEE Xplore to verify their subscription status by IP address or institutional sign-in ID (username and password). Your librarian or system administrator can tell you if you need to sign in. Signing in allows you to access the full text of documents in your institution’s subscription package(s).

To sign in:
  1. Click at the top of the page to display the sign-in dialog for institutional users.

  2. Enter your institution’s username if your institution is not authenticated by IP address.

  3. Enter your institution’s password if your institution is not authenticated by IP address.

  1. Click .

The system verifies your institution's username and password and displays your institution's name and logo (if available) at the top of the page.

IEEE Xplore prompts you to sign in when you are not signed in and do any of the following: view an abstract (because access to the full text may be available), click in the navigation bar, or click any option in the My Settings drop-down menu in the navigation bar. For more information, see Do I Need To Sign In?

Note: Users with an IEEE Account can also sign in to that account to access their member and subscriber benefits, if any, and take advantage of personalization options.
