Browsing by Topic

Use the following general procedure to browse books and eBooks, conference publications, courses, journals and magazines, and standards in the IEEE Xplore collections by topic.

  1. If necessary, hover over in the navigation bar to display the Browse menu. Then, click .

IEEE Xplore displays a list of 16 topic categories.

  1. Click a category. IEEE Xplore displays the topic category page with a list of titles starting with the letter A or beginning with a number.

To browse by topic across all content types:

  1. Browse by keyword or alphabetically to locate titles.

Note: When browsing by keyword, you can take advantage of the type-ahead feature to easily find the titles of books and eBooks, conference publications, educational courses,journals and magazines, and standards you are looking for.

  1. Filter the results by publication year and/or publisher.

  2. Control the number of titles listed on the page and the order in which they are presented using the Results per page and Sort by drop-down menus.

  3. In the list of titles, click to view the title history.

  4. View multiple pages of results by using the page numbers or First and Last links at the top and bottom of the list of titles.

  1. Click a title to view its publication page (for periodicals and proceedings) or abstract (for standards, books, and courses).

To browse by topic within specific content types:

  1. Select the content type in the Content Type, Book Type, or Course Type section of the  Filter These Results box.

  2. Click . IEEE Xplore displays a list of titles for the selected content type.

  1. Further filter the results by publication year and/or publisher

  2. Control the number of titles listed on the page and the order in which they are presented using the Results per page and Sort by drop-down menus.

  3. In the list of titles, click  to view the title history.

  4. View multiple pages of results by using the page numbers or First and Last links at the top and bottom of the list of titles.

  1. Click a title to view its publication page (for journals and conferences) or abstract (for standards, books, and courses).
