Use the following general procedure to browse the books and eBooks, conference publications, courses, journals and magazines, and standards in the IEEE Xplore collections by keyword.
On the
Home page, click a content type or click By
Topic and then a category under
. On other pages, hover over
in the navigation bar. Then click a
content type or click By Topic followed
by a category. IEEE Xplore displays
a page with a list of titles starting with the letter A or beginning with
a number.
If you are interested in:
Only a single publication year or a range of years;
Only IEEE, IET, AIP, AVS, BIAI, TUP, and/or IBM titles but not all titles;
Only specific topic categories but not all categories if you are browsing by content type;
Only specific content types, such as journals (including transactions, reviews, and letters) or magazines but not both if you are browsing by topic; and/or
Only titles that are currently being published (active titles) but not legacy content (only for Journals & Magazines),
Filter for standards of a particular version (i.e. Active, Archived, Draft).
select your choices and click

These Results box.
In the Search By Keywords box:

enter one or more keywords from the title of the publication.
Note: If you are unsure of the spelling, you may enter a partial keyword.
IEEE Xplore has a type-ahead feature that suggests titles of publications. If you see the title you want, select it in the pop-up box. Selecting the title also runs the search.

IEEE Xplore filters through each
publication’s title to locate the words you entered, and presents
a list of titles including those words.
Control the number of titles listed on the page and the order in which they are presented using the Results per page and Sort by drop-down menus.
In the
list of titles, click
to view the title history.
View multiple pages of results by using the page numbers or First and Last links at the top and bottom of the list of titles.

Click a title to view its publication page (for journals and conferences) or abstract (for standards, books, and courses).
Click
to view the latest table of contents for the title (periodicals).
Stemming is enabled within the Search by Keywords function. For example, if you are browsing journals and enter the keyword package, the results will include titles containing packaging (such as IEEE Transactions on Advanced Packaging). If you enter the keyword compute, the results will include titles containing compute, computer, computers, etc. This capability helps you locate publications by subject when you are unsure of the exact title.
The results match your keyword(s) regardless of most punctuation you include. For example, if you search for solid-state, your results may include solid-state, solid state, and solid_state.
