This article describes social network application based on Google Web toolkit (GWT) as the new technology in creation of rich AJAX applications using only Java as the programming language, which is later on compiled into pure JavaScript and deployed as regular Web site. Example application is a simple social portal as nowadays they are the most common representatives of Web 2.0 applications that require fast, rich interfaces as the ones created using GWT.
